This painting came about after a local Pacific Northwest mountain hike that my sister and I went on.  By the end of the hike our feet were hot and tired, and this cold mountain stream felt so oh so good!  While cooling off, I was admiring the natural beauty of water and light but was also struck by the look of our feet in the water.  Who paints feet, by the way? Me, apparently!

I decided to paint this emphasizing all the lovely shades of green and yellow that are in our clear local waters.  My favorite part was painting the light reflections on our feet as they wrapped around our toes.  

It was easy to think of a name for this painting since our feet were very happy to be dipped into a cool mountain stream that day!

"Happy Feet" won Honorable Mention at the 2022 Peninsula Art League Spring Member Show.

This original watercolor is hand signed and titled and is already matted and framed, ready to hang!  Sizes are the painting size only -- matted and framed paintings will be a bit larger (typically 5-8" larger per side.)
