I was at a vintage car show and saw this beautiful 1954 MG, model TF, and thought that it could possibly be a neat painting. I was right! It was so much fun painting all the reflections of people, trees and buildings in their glorious distortion. All that shiny chrome!
It was especially fun to paint a "double reflection". Just above the "54" on the license plate is a bumper headlight. The backside of this headlight is reflected onto the body of the car (reflection #1), including the reflection that's on the back of that headlight (reflection #2). Confusing? It was fun sorting it all out!
This painting was created using 140# Arches watercolor paper and a variety of professional transparent watercolors. It is hand-signed, matted and framed.
