I remember being fascinated by marbles when I was a kid. The smooth feel of the little glass globes in my hand, the click and clack of the game of marbles, the covetous collecting of new marbles that I won -- it was all great fun! But what I really liked was to just look at them. The beautiful glass marbles seemed to have their own "inner worlds" as I gazed into their depths. They came in so many different sizes and colors, some opaque and simple, others with an almost ethereal appearance.
This painting was created using 140# Arches watercolor paper and a variety of professional transparent watercolors. It is hand-signed, matted and framed.
