While on a tour of local gardens, I noticed this lovely water lily pond. I was attracted by the play of light and reflection on the water as well as the calm beauty of the pink water lilies. For this painting, I changed the time of day from mid-day to sunrise, and added some tree reflections.
This painting was created using 140# Arches watercolor paper and a variety of professional transparent watercolors. It is hand-signed, matted and framed.
