I don't usually paint landscapes but the idea of painting some aspen trees in their glorious fall foliage has been floating around in my brain for a long while, and I finally got around to doing that.
There's something special about late afternoons on warm, sunny fall days that makes this one of my favorite seasons. The title of this painting, "Where the Light Lingers", seemed like the perfect description of this autumn scene.
This painting was created using 140# Arches watercolor paper and a variety of professional transparent watercolors. It is hand-signed, matted and framed.
