I have always been partial to iris flowers, ever since I was a young girl enjoying their heavenly smell and "light as air" appearance as I walked through the garden.

"Iris in Blue" is part of a short series of watercolor paintings using the same two irises but with different colored backgrounds.  I wanted to explore the various textures and moods that I could create by doing this, while still capturing the romantic vision that these lovely irises presented.

These are high quality giclee reproductions that are printed on fine art paper and come with a 1/2" white border.  They generally arrive at your home within two weeks of ordering, ready to be matted and framed.  Larger sizes are available by special order -- contact me for more information.
