I have always been partial to iris flowers, ever since I was a young girl enjoying their heavenly smell and "light as air" appearance as I walked through the garden.

"White Iris" is part of a short series of watercolor paintings using the same two irises but with different colored backgrounds.  I wanted to explore the various textures and moods that I could create by doing this, while still capturing the romantic vision that these lovely irises presented.

This original watercolor is hand signed and titled and is already matted and framed, ready to hang!  Sizes are the painting size only -- matted and framed paintings will be a bit larger (typically 5-8" larger per side.)
