I noticed this lovely lavender iris when I was weeding my garden one nice summer day.  The way the light was captured by it's soft, ethereal petals immediately grabbed my attention and held me spellbound.

I had fun painting the many watercolor transparent layers needed to achieve the luminosity and depth of color present on this watercolor.

This original watercolor is hand signed and titled and is already matted and framed, ready to hang!  Sizes are the painting size only -- matted and framed paintings will be a bit larger (typically 4-5" larger per side.)
